This year, India celebrated its 79th Independence Day on August 15, with festivities all over the country. From flag hoisting to cultural programs, citizens found creative ways to express their patriotism, perhaps by using the Tricolor in the clothes they wore or in decorations. Freedom was the spirit in the air of public places, schools and offices, along with pride in India’s journey.

This year, Bollywood and celebrity personalities participated by posting messages and pictures on social media, remembering the day.

Celebs Share Heartfelt Wishes

Actor and politician Kamal Haasan, through X, offered a contemplative message stating that freedom is vital for dream-making, innovation, and progress. He spoke of India growing from salt march to space age, asking all citizens to harness the courage that secured independence for the sake of national and personal growth. 

Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi, reinforcing the message, reminded the fans about freedom as a gift from forefathers to inspire personal achievement and progress for humankind. Hrithik Roshan added his voice, celebrating all Indians for their inner strength and courage while wishing each one a Happy Independence Day.

Priyanka Chopra chose to keep her message symbolic but simple, posting a video of the Indian flag videotaping a dandy fluttering. Jr. NTR extended his best wishes for the nation and its people.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar emphasized the significance of small services; he shared a picture of himself at the beach with the soul of a few, maintaining public places clean thus his point that true freedom prevails if the community respects its surroundings.

Bollywood Highlights Unity and Social Causes

Kangana Ranut embraced the celebration with awareness of civic duty by posting a video waving the Tricolor while reflecting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the Red Fort, including the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. The message of national pride and active participation in schemes fostering patriotism followed.

Independence Day’s Bollywood social media presence, though, did not only celebrate the festive spirit but showed a commitment to central beliefs of unity and civic responsibility. From well-wishing personal reflections to calls on social issues, the 79th Independence Day stood for a moment of pride and reflection for the nation.

Colors were celebrated across India by people of all walks of life, giving tribute to the martyrs of freedom and expressing hope for India’s future. The Tricolor took to the skies, symbolizing unity, valor and onward march.
