Bollywood gossip went into high gear when Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal made an appearance at an upscale event in Mumbai at Vikram Phadnis event on Tuesday, October 14. The two arrived looking stylish in traditional finery.
Sonakshi wore a red-and-white Anarkali with floral work and a matching dupatta, while Zaheer wore a traditional black sherwani and smiled graciously for the cameras. But it wasn't only their fashion sense that people were talking about. Soon enough, there was gossip circulating that Sonakshi was pregnant.
Videos and stills from the event went viral. What fueled the buzz: some fans believed Sonakshi’s “glow” was unmistakable; others pointed out that she appeared to subtly shield her midriff with her hand while posing. In comment sections across social media, viewers didn’t hold back. “Baby on the way,” wrote one.
“She is glowing … she is definitely pregnant,” chimed another. “She looks pregnant,” read yet another. Thus far, neither Sonakshi nor Zaheer has reacted to the rumors. Some have claimed that such gossip is not new Sonakshi has been dogged by pregnancy rumors since she wed Zaheer.
She responded to such assumptions lightheartedly earlier this year when she posted on social media a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation with Zaheer, who had asked her, in jest, if she was hungry. She replied, “Not at all, stop feeding me,” and later quipped in her story, “The reason why everyone thinks I’m preggos (pregnant). Stop it, @iamzahero.” She has also been vocal about defending her privacy and right to live life on her own terms, especially in the face of public scrutiny.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a civil ceremony on June 23, 2024, in Mumbai in the presence of family members and close friends. There was a lavish reception that followed. Ever since, they've frequently posted glimpses of their relationship from banter to tender moments on social media.
