Sometimes being famous comes at a high cost; it's not all red carpets and yelling fans. Global pop sensation Ed Sheeran disclosed in a moving interview that he now has to live under constant personal security because of a string of disturbing events, such as attempted break-ins and significant safety risks.

Fame Isn’t Always Glamorous

While the world sees the chart-topping hits and sold-out tours, Ed’s reality behind closed doors tells a different story. After an attempted break-in at his countryside home often dubbed “Sheeranville” the singer says he was forced to take serious measures to protect himself and his family.

I haven’t been kidnapped or anything," he admitted in a recent podcast, "but it only takes one crazy person to ruin everything.

A Father First, A Star Later

What truly weighs on Ed is not just his own safety but that of his wife, Cherry Seaborn, and their two daughters.

I now have 24-hour security at my home. My wife has security. My kids have security,” he said, adding that fame wasn't a choice they made.

He opened up about the struggle of trying to give his children a normal life, even though paparazzi and fans often make that difficult. I can’t even take my daughter to the park without someone filming us. It’s heartbreaking.”

A Life Under Watchful Eyes

Ed recalled how he once took a regular commercial flight, hoping to avoid attention. Instead, fans followed him and his family, making the journey tense and uncomfortable.

It’s not paranoia, it's just how things are now,” he said. “There’s no real privacy anymore.

Adjusting to a “New Normal”

Now, whether it’s touring, heading to the grocery store, or simply relaxing at home, security is always present. Ed says it’s a tough adjustment, but one he’s had to make out of love and responsibility.

“I think this is just my life now. I probably will need bodyguards until I die, he said, not out of fear but from a place of realism.

Still Staying Grounded

Despite these challenges, Ed remains down-to-earth. He continues to make music, support charities, and raise his kids with as much normalcy as possible. But his story is a reminder that celebrity status doesn’t shield anyone from vulnerability; it sometimes magnifies it.
