Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 31 (ANI): Actor Dulquer Salmaan will be honoured as one of the most iconic contemporary stars of Indian cinema at the 2026 edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
The festival, regarded as the largest annual celebration of Indian cinema outside India, will be held from August 13 to 23 with support from the Victorian government. Dulquer will attend the event as one of its Guests of Honour and participate in a series of festival events celebrating his contribution to Indian cinema, as per the press release.
Over the past decade, Dulquer has built a successful career across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, earning acclaim for his performances in both critically acclaimed films and commercial hits. Known for his versatility and ability to connect with audiences across languages and cultures, the actor has emerged as one of the most recognised faces of contemporary Indian cinema.
Festival Director Mitu Bhowmick Lange praised Dulquer’s contribution to Indian cinema and said in a statement, “Dulquer Salmaan represents the very best of contemporary Indian cinema.
