After a significant guest role in the first season of Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones returns to Season 2 as a regular series cast member in her iconic role of Morticia Addams. In appreciation of her long-tenured career and the continuing opportunities to express herself creatively, the Oscar-winning actor praised director Tim Burton and expressed gratitude for her co-stars.

"Deeply humbled that Tim Burton saw me as his Morticia in the incredible world of Wednesday," she added. "It's such an honor to be working again with Luis Guzmán, whom I last worked with 25 years ago in Traffic and to work with talents like Jenna Ortega. Going to work with such beautiful human beings-it doesn't get better than this."

Addams Family Is an Indian Family

Zeta-Jones, who considers herself a fan of India, made an emotional comparison between the Addams family and a typical Indian household.

"It's a truly inclusive, modern family," she said. "Addams family dynamics reflect strong-rooted family values of India [such as] grandparents, uncles, aunties, daughters and sons all living like one home."

The actor emphasized how unique this family is, as she said, "Yes, we have oddities and we all are different, but then we celebrate that difference. Children are expected to blend into most families. In the Addams household, it is a gift to be different something to be seen and heard, not hidden away."

India Holds a Precious Place in Her Heart

What makes India so special to her, one would pose this question to Zeta-Jones, and her heart would open immediately and overflow.

"How long do you have?" she joked. "India has always been a dream destination for me, and when I went there, all my expectations were blown away. I have never felt such roots in any country; it feels like I've always been part of this world before like I belong."

With great emotion, she said, "India is a place like none other. I love you, and I will always want to come back."
