The much-awaited Bigg Boss 9 Telugu premiere took place on Sunday, and it started with grandeur and excitement. Host Nagarjuna kick-started the show with a high-energy performance on the song Soniyo Soniyo while he then introduced viewers to the new Bigg Boss house and welcomed the contestants. This season has a special twist, as it brings a double house concept, promising double drama and double excitement and with 15 contestants entering the house, the competition is set to get fierce from the very beginning.
Contestants Enter the Bigg Boss 9 Telugu House
The first contestant to step inside was Kannada actress Thanuja Puttaswamy. Following her, South Indian actress Flora Saini, who had earlier opened up about facing domestic violence, became the second contestant.
The next entrant was Kalyan Padala, who secured his position after competing in the Bigg Boss Agnipariksha pre-show while he was followed by comedian Jabardasth Emmanuel, known for his popular comic skits.
The fifth contestant, choreographer Shrasti Verma, has contributed to major films including Pushpa 2, Jailer, Vikrant Rona, Game Changer, and Rangasthalam.
As the sixth housemate, Haritha Harish entered as the second commoner and later, social media influencer Rithu Chowdary joined as the seventh contestant.

Actor Bharani Shankar became the eighth entrant, while fan-selected contestant Demon Pawan entered as the ninth and the third commoner of the season.
The tenth contestant was actress Sanjjanaa Galrani, best known for her roles in Dandupalya 2, Bujjigadu, and Ganda Hendathi. Singer Ramu Rathod, famous for Ranu Bombayi Ki Ranu, joined as the eleventh contestant.
Commoner Srija Dammu entered as the twelfth contestant, followed by actor Suman Setty as the thirteenth. Finally, commoners Dr Priya and Maryada Manish completed the list, making it 15 contestants in total.
Bigg Boss 9 Telugu Host
Host Nagarjuna returned to lead the show with his trademark charisma. Out of the eight previous seasons, he hosted six, while Jr NTR and Nani each hosted one season. Eight weeks before the premiere, the promo confirmed that Nagarjuna would once again host Season 9. Fans celebrated his return, as his unique style has become synonymous with Bigg Boss Telugu.
Bigg Boss 9 Telugu Theme
This season introduces the double house concept, a first in the show’s history. During the premiere, Nagarjuna revealed, “Unexpected changes, unexpected twists… double excitement with double house this time” also his dramatic entry through breaking walls symbolised the division into two houses and the fresh concept sets the stage for intense drama, unexpected alliances, and fierce rivalries in the coming weeks.

With a star-studded lineup, commoner entries, and a double house twist, Bigg Boss 9 Telugu promises high drama. Nagarjuna’s return as host only adds to the anticipation, making this season one of the most awaited in recent memory.
