Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 fame Armaan Malik and his wives, Payal Malik and Kritika Malik, are once again in the spotlight. The family announced that Armaan and Kritika are expecting another child, even as they face court summons in Patiala. The controversy includes allegations of multiple marriages, a case under the Hindu Marriage Act, and a row over a video featuring Payal as Goddess Kali and alongside with the legal drama, the trio continues to share personal milestones with their followers.
Pregnancy Announcement
Armaan Malik, along with Payal and Kritika, shared a joint Instagram post to reveal the news. In the first frame, Kritika held a pregnancy test stick that showed a positive result. Payal stood beside her in support. The caption read, “Ghar mai khushiyaan aane wali hain,” which translates to “Happiness is about to come home.” However, the family did not clarify whether Kritika or Payal is expecting.
Armaan is already a father of four children. He shares son Chirayu and twins Ayaan and Tuba with Payal. He also has a son, Zaid, with Kritika. The news of another child has once again drawn attention to their unconventional family structure.
Court Summons in Patiala
While the family celebrated the pregnancy news, they also faced legal pressureas well as the Patiala district court issued summons to Armaan, Payal, and Kritika in two separate cases. The three have been asked to appear in court on September 2.
The complaint came from Davinder Rajput. He alleged that Armaan has not two but four marriages, which violates the Hindu Marriage Act that allows only one marriage at a time for Hindus. He also pointed to a video where Payal dressed as Goddess Kali. According to the complaint, this act hurt religious sentiments and should be treated as an offence under law.
Public Apology and Religious Penances
Facing strong criticism, Armaan and Payal attempted to make amends. On July 22, they visited the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala. They offered prayers and issued a public apology. The next day, they travelled to a Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali. There, Payal reportedly undertook a week-long penance, which included cleaning the temple and performing rituals.
Soon after, Armaan and Payal went to Haridwar. They met Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara and sought his forgiveness. During this period, Payal’s health declined. She was admitted to a hospital in Mohali for treatment.
