Court Summons in Patiala

While the family celebrated the pregnancy news, they also faced legal pressureas well as the Patiala district court issued summons to Armaan, Payal, and Kritika in two separate cases. The three have been asked to appear in court on September 2.

The complaint came from Davinder Rajput. He alleged that Armaan has not two but four marriages, which violates the Hindu Marriage Act that allows only one marriage at a time for Hindus. He also pointed to a video where Payal dressed as Goddess Kali. According to the complaint, this act hurt religious sentiments and should be treated as an offence under law.

Public Apology and Religious Penances

Facing strong criticism, Armaan and Payal attempted to make amends. On July 22, they visited the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala. They offered prayers and issued a public apology. The next day, they travelled to a Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali. There, Payal reportedly undertook a week-long penance, which included cleaning the temple and performing rituals.

Soon after, Armaan and Payal went to Haridwar. They met Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara and sought his forgiveness. During this period, Payal’s health declined. She was admitted to a hospital in Mohali for treatment.
