Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley had a fluke encounter with Bollywood's famous actress Aishwarya Rai while rehearsing for their production at Paris Fashion Week 2025. Simone captured the moment on camera with a spontaneous selfie, which has since left the internet users swooning over the friendly, good-friend energy the two actresses exchanged.
Aishwarya recently stepped down the ramp for the Paris Fashion Week to walk for beauty brand Loreal. Before her show, Aishwarya Rai was seen merging with global talents backstage and during her makeup, with the peeks now causing commotion across social media.
Aishwarya also interacted with Simone backstage, with Bridgerton's actress capturing the moment in a selfie. The behind-the-scenes photo sees the two stars posing elegantly in identical black attire as they prepared in their vanity area. Simone posted the photo on her Instagram Stories. The fans soon flooded social media as they were unable to stay calm, seeing the duo together.
Fans on social media were abuzz with joy at the two being spotted together and showcased their happiness in posts. For Paris Fashion Week, Aishwarya strutted down the catwalk in a bespoke Manish Malhotra sherwani with fine work, diamond-studded brooches, and 10-inch-long diamond-studded cuffs.
The gaze, Manish said, reconsiders the Indian sherwani from an androgynous haute couture perspective. "The bespoke sherwani is now a canvas upon which structure and softness converge: tailoring that is about assertiveness but also wearability of sensuality. The 10-inch diamond-embroidered cuffs turn the sleeve into an assertion of contemporary regalia—half armor, half accessory. They elongate the gesture of "wearing your heart on your sleeve," exaggerating strength and weakness in equal proportion, Manish posted on Instagram.
He further stated that the "layered diamond scallops cascade in the back like an over-the-top necklace, reminding one of the extravagance of a nau lakha haar."
