A car owned by actress and Bigg Boss contestant Divya Suresh, as per claims, was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the Bengaluru Byatarayanapura locality, seriously injuring a woman. The accident, which was recorded on CCTV, occurred around 1.30 am on October 4, when three individuals were traveling towards a hospital on a bike.
The three people on the motorcycle were identified as Anusha, Anita, and Kiran. The biker swerved a bit to clear barking stray dogs when the car, driven by Suresh in what is claimed, crashed into them. Anita was taken to the hospital with a fractured kneecap, with the others escaping unhurt.
Eyewitnesses and relatives described the incident as a hit-and-run, stating that the driver did not stop to assist the victims. "While on our way to the hospital, near Byatarayanapura Police Station, a lady in a black KIA car hit and ran despite calling her to stop," said the victim's cousin.
Following the accident, police instructed the group to rush the injured to a hospital, as they were worried that there could be excessive blood loss. The wounded woman was initially taken to New Life Hospital, followed by BGS Hospital for continued treatment. A complaint was filed two or three days following the accident, after which police started investigating and found Divya Suresh to be the suspected driver.

Anita's injuries had to be operated upon at BGS Hospital for about 2 lakh. Her family says that she will have to remain bedridden for a long time because of the severity of her knee injury.
Kiran, who was traveling with Anita and Anusha, lodged a formal complaint on October 7. The family accused Divya Suresh of not having approached or offered any help to the victim after the accident.
Her cousin explained that the automobile overran them on the way to their sick relative's hospital and sped away after shouting at them. The police dispatched a car to take the wounded lady, but the family asserted there had not been any contact from Divya Suresh.
Byatarayanapura Traffic Police filed an FIR and initiated the investigation. CCTV footage traced the car back to Divya Suresh, and her vehicle has been impounded under the course of investigation.
