Aamir Khan and his entire family are upset with the latest words spoken by his brother Faissal Khan and have issued a statement. In a recent interview, Faissal had made several statements regarding how the family and Aamir treated him poorly all these years.
We want to emphasize that every decision that has been made about Faissal has been made as a family, in consultation with several medical experts, and has been motivated by love, compassion, and a wish to facilitate his emotional and psychological well-being. It is for this reason that we have not spoken about the specifics of a sad and difficult time for our family in public.

Talking to Pinkvilla, Faissal revealed that his family told him he suffered from schizophrenia, was 'an insane person and can damage society'. He alleged that a couple of years ago, Aamir Khan had confined him for more than a year to his house in Mumbai.
He said that at that time, he felt he was in a trap. "They were saying I've got schizophrenia and I'm a mad person. I can harm society. Ye sab baatein ho rahi thi (All this was being talked about). I was looking at myself ki yaar main iss chakravyuh se kaise niklu. Chakravyuh ho gaya tha mere liye. Main usme fass gaya tha kyunki saari family mere khilaaf jaa rahi thi. Mujhe pagal samjh rahe the (How do I get out of this trap? It was a trap for me. I was stuck in it because my family was against me. They were thinking I'm mad).”
Faissal Khan recalled that he would pray for help and hoped his father would come to his rescue, adding that he was married to his second wife then. "He was away from family politics. Lekin unn tak main pahuchu kaise? Unka number bhi nahi tha mere pass. Aur Aamir ne mujhe qaid kar diya tha ghar me ek saal. Mobile le liya, main bahar nahi jaa sakta. Bodyguard mere room ke bahar. Dawaiyan de rahe hain (How do I reach him? I didn't have his number. And Aamir had locked me inside the house for a year. My phone was taken, I couldn't go out. There were bodyguards outside my room. I was given medicine),” he added. Faissal said that after a year, when he insisted, Aamir let him move to another house.
Aamir Khan and his brother Faissal have had a turbulent relationship in the past. Faissal was previously involved in a legal battle with the family when he was requested to give up his signatory rights, and he moved court. He had previously disclosed that he was subjected to a 20-day mental test at JJ Hospital, during which the doctors certified him as of sound mind and mentally fit. The brothers were seen together in the 2000 movie Mela, starring Twinkle Khanna, directed by Dharmesh Darshan.
