71st National Film Awards 2025: From Shah Rukh Khan to Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail | List of Winners

The 71st National Film Awards 2025 celebrated the best movies and performances in Indian cinema today in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu gave away the awards at Vigyan Bhawan. Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey shared the Best Actor award.

Rani Mukerji won Best Actress for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. For SRK, this was his first National Award after a career of over 30 years, making it a very special moment for his fans.

SRK’s Historic Win

Shah Rukh Khan’s win was the highlight of the evening. Fans and film lovers celebrated as SRK finally received a National Award, marking recognition for his decades-long contribution to Indian cinema.

Rani Mukherji's win for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway also drew applause, showing that talent and perseverance continue to be honoured at the national level. 

Celebrating Indian Cinema

The diversity of Indian cinema in all languages was showcased at the 71st National Film Awards. From local productions to major Bollywood productions, the event celebrated skill, originality, and technical mastery.  It served as a reminder to everyone of the popularity of Indian films both domestically and internationally.
