A few days prior, the ED had conducted raids at 20 places, leading to the arrest of former INLD MLA Dilbagh Singh from Yamunanagar. The searches revealed Rs 5 crore in cash, gold biscuits, 5 illegal foreign rifles, approximately 300 cartridges, and bottles of foreign liquor at Dilbagh Singh’s residence. ED also raided Congress MLA Surendra Panwar in Sonipat, but no information regarding recovery has been provided.

The ED raid at the house of former MLA Dilbagh Singh, involved in the mining business, lasted for five days. Dilbagh Singh and his associate Kulwinder Singh were arrested. Media reports suggest that the ED team seized Dilbagh Singh’s Land Cruiser, Scorpio, 17 checkbooks, and property documents.

Mobile phones of Dilbagh Singh’s wife, brother, and sister-in-law were also seized. However, Dilbagh’s brother Rajendra claimed that these actions were politically motivated, emphasizing that no cash or jewelry was found in the house.
