On the call of the All India State Government Employees Federation, Indian Electricity Employees Federation, and other Central Trade Unions, members of the Federation of UT Employees and Workers Chandigarh and United Employees Morcha (UT and MC) are making full preparations for the strike scheduled on February 16, 2024. In this regard, on February 12th, meetings were held at various locations, including the Electricity Office in Industrial Area Phase-I and II, Water Supply Kajauli, Sector 26, Road Sector 28, and C&D Plant. Meetings were also held at the Indian Child Welfare Council, MC Manimajra, CMC Horticulture 47, and today at the Electricity Office in Sector 35, 34, and 19, as well as Water Supply in Sector 12 and Road Gate in Sector 31.

Leaflets were distributed to raise awareness, and preparations for the strike have been completed in almost all departments. Gate meetings were conducted in different offices, and leaflets were distributed. Speakers at these meetings included Federation President Raghvir Chand, General Secretary Gopal Dutt Joshi, Vice President Rajendra Katoch, Vice President Harkesh Chand, Dhyan Singh, Surinder Singh, Rekha Sharma, Naseeb Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Secretary Amrik Singh, M Subramaniam, P Rajendran, Bihari Lal, Ranjit Singh, Prempal, Toplan, Harpal Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, and others.

To ensure the success of the strike, preparations were finalized on February 12th in a meeting of the officials of the United Employees Front UT and MC. All the concerned employee unions participated in large numbers in the meeting held at Shivalik Hotel in Sector 17. An appeal has been made for a substantial participation in the rally organized from 10 am to 2 pm at Wale Maidan
