Musk’s latest remark came during his visit to the US Capitol on Wednesday, where he was attending Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress. Responding to a question from a Fox reporter, Musk reignited the conversation about a potential fight that had faded from the spotlight in recent months.
The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg began in June 2023 when Musk suggested a “cage match” ahead of the launch of Threads, Zuckerberg’s new social media platform. Zuckerberg responded by asking Musk to “send the location” in an Instagram post.
The playful jabs between the tech giants gained significant media attention, and Musk had previously joked about the fight on the Joe Rogan podcast in October 2023, saying, “I challenge him to a duel under any circumstances. I’m willing to fight him in a house, on a mouse, with a louse.”
While Musk has openly accepted the challenge, Zuckerberg has been preparing seriously, training in mixed martial arts with UFC champions. Despite Musk’s size advantage, experts suggest that skill could be a more crucial factor in the fight.
As the feud continues, it remains to be seen if the two tech giants will ever meet in the ring. For now, Musk’s latest challenge has certainly stirred up the conversation once again.
