Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk expressed confidence in Donald Trump’s potential return to the White House as initial projections showed the former president leading Vice President Kamala Harris in the ongoing U.S. presidential election vote count.

As polling wrapped up in most states, Musk, a longtime Trump supporter, posted “Game, set and match” on social platform X. This comes amid his ongoing public support for Trump, which includes a $75 million donation to Trump’s Political Action Committee and appearances at some of Trump’s campaign events. Musk even hosted a discussion with Trump on X-Space and has hinted at being open to a cabinet or advisory role if Trump wins.

Musk also shared a prediction from New York-based Polymarket, which showed Trump’s chances of winning at 90.1%, with Harris at just 9.2%.

Current projections show Trump leading in the electoral count: CNN has him at 211 votes compared to Harris’s 145, while Politico reports 214 for Trump and 179 for Harris. Fox News places Trump at 216 and Harris at 193. Both candidates are racing to secure at least 270 of the 538 electoral votes to claim victory in this highly significant election.

The final outcome is expected to hinge on a few critical battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Trump, the 45th U.S. president from 2017 to 2021, is now vying for a return to the White House, with Musk publicly backing his efforts.
