The Election Commission of India is set to announce the poll dates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Saturday, along with the Assembly election dates for certain states. The announcement will be made at a press conference scheduled for 3 pm. The press conference will be live-streamed on the Election Commission’s social media platforms.
In the previous 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the elections were conducted in seven phases from April 11 to May 19, with the results declared on May 23. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) emerged victorious, securing a total of 303 seats, while the opposition party secured 52 seats.
