The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced new dates for the Police Constable Recruitment exam. According to the notice, the UP Police 2024 re-exam will take place in August. Candidates who have been waiting for the updated schedule should start preparing for the exam.
New Schedule for UP P9olice Bharti 2024 Exam
The re-exam for UP Police Bharti 2024 is set for August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31 across the state. The exam will be held in two shifts each day, with approximately 5 lakh candidates expected to participate in each shift. The break between exam dates is due to the Janmashtami festival.
Exam Cancellation Due to Paper Leak
The original UP Police 2024 exam, held on February 17 and 18, was canceled because of a paper leak. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the re-exam within six months to maintain transparency and integrity in the process. He emphasized that the sanctity of the exams would not be compromised.
Over 48 lakh candidates, including around 16 lakh women, appeared for the exam on February 17 and 18. It was conducted at 2,835 centers across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Free Bus Services for Candidates
Candidates taking the re-exam will benefit from free bus services provided by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. To use this service, candidates should download two additional copies of their admit card—one for travel to the examination center and another for the return journey.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 60,244 vacancies for the Constable Civil Police position. The selection process includes a written exam, physical test, document verification, and medical exam. Candidates who pass the written exam will proceed to the next stages of the recruitment process.
