Kelley School of Business Partnered with Microsoft to Power Global Case Competition

The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University recently partnered with Microsoft for its MSIS Global Case Competition, marking a major milestone in preparing future business leaders for an AI-driven world. The collaboration provided participants with access to Microsoft’s advanced AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, allowing them to develop innovative solutions to real-world business challenges.

The competition, which saw its registration deadline on August 24, 2024, attracted students from around the globe, offering a unique opportunity to showcase problem-solving skills. Participants leveraged Microsoft’s cutting-edge technology, gaining hands-on experience with tools that are shaping the future of business.

“Partnering with Microsoft was a testament to our commitment to providing students with experiential learning that bridges academia and industry,” remarked Professor Bipin Prabhakar, Faculty Chairperson, Information Systems Graduate Programs at Kelley School of Business. He highlighted how the partnership merged Kelley’s business acumen with AI-enabled platforms to cultivate leaders capable of driving digital transformation.

The competition challenged participants to collaborate and innovate while solving complex business problems, with mentorship from industry experts enhancing their learning experience. It consisted of two rounds, with the final round held in New Delhi on September 22, 2024. Winners were awarded cash prizes and scholarships, with the first-place team receiving $1,500 and each member earning a $5,000 scholarship.

Open to students worldwide, the Kelley MSIS Global Case Competition fostered a global community of innovators, reinforcing Kelley School of Business’s reputation for academic excellence and its commitment to developing future leaders in the digital age.
