The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is set to announce the GATE 2025 results on March 19. Candidates who appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 can access their results through the official websites gate2025.iitr.ac.in and goaps.iitr.ac.in. The GATE 2025 scorecards will be available for download starting March 28.
GATE 2025 Result Date, Official Website & Steps to Download
The GATE 2025 exam was conducted in multiple sessions between February 1 and February 16, covering 30 different papers. The response sheets were released on February 27, and candidates were given the opportunity to raise objections to the answer keys from February 27 to March 1, 2025.

To check the GATE 2025 result, candidates need to:
- Visit the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in or goaps.iitr.ac.in
- Click on the GATE 2025 result link
- Enter the required login credentials
- Download and save the scorecard for future reference
GATE 2025 Question Pattern and Marking Scheme
The GATE 2025 exam featured different types of questions, including:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): One correct answer out of four options
- Multiple Select Questions (MSQs): One or more correct answers among four options
- Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions: Candidates had to input numerical answers using a virtual keyboard
Life Sciences (XL) Exam Pattern
For candidates who appeared in the XL paper, the marking scheme was as follows:
- General Aptitude (GA): 15 marks
- Section P – Chemistry (Compulsory):
- 9 questions (1 mark each) → Total 9 marks
- 8 questions (2 marks each) → Total 16 marks
- Optional Sections (Q to U):
- Candidates could select any two sections
- Each optional section had 19 questions with a total of 30 marks
- Changing an optional section mid-exam required deselecting a previous choice, which deleted all answers in that section
Who Will Get the GATE 2025 Scorecard?
Only candidates who meet the GATE 2025 cutoff score will receive a scorecard. The cutoff varies based on the exam paper and category.
