Chandigarh University 73 MBA Students Bag Jobs In With Top Brands

Chandigarh University’s Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector-focused MBA program has achieved remarkable placement milestones, with 131 students securing positions in leading banks, financial institutions, and companies in 2023 and 2024. The program, designed to cater to industry demands, continues to deliver impressive career outcomes for graduates.

In 2023, 58 students from the Master of Business Administration (Banking and Financial Engineering) program were placed, while 2024 saw a significant rise, with 73 students landing roles in top organizations across sectors like banking, finance, insurance, fintech, edtech, FMCG, and healthcare. The number of recruiters also increased, from 59 in 2023 to 73 in 2024, reflecting the program’s growing industry reputation.

Top Placements in Banking and Finance

Over 25 MBA graduates secured roles in leading private banks, including Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, HDFC, ICICI Bank, HSBC, Axis Bank, and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, holding positions such as Probationary Officer, Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Credit Officer, and Branch Relationship Officer. The highest packages offered ranged from ₹14.13 lakh at Federal Bank to ₹8 lakh at companies like Byjus and Godrej.

Prominent Recruiters Across Industries

Insurance giants like HDFC Life Insurance, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, and PolicyBazaar extended offers to CU graduates. Similarly, finance and wealth management firms such as SBICAP Ventures, Growth Arrow LLP, and Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited onboarded top talent. Edtech leaders like Byjus, Aakash, Skolar, and CollegeDekho also contributed to the placement success.

Focus on Skill Development and Career Preparedness

Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu highlighted the program’s industry-centric curriculum, developed in collaboration with SBI and Tally, which combines principles of business administration with advanced financial engineering techniques. “Our MBA program equips students for leadership roles by integrating hands-on learning, expert faculty, and robust internship opportunities,” Sandhu said.

Outstanding Performance in Government Sector Recruitment

Chandigarh University has also excelled in preparing students for government bank roles. Between 2023 and 2024, 26 students secured positions in public sector banks, including 16 as Probationary Officers. Over the years, 75 CU students have landed government jobs in diverse sectors, including banking, defence, railways, and civil services.

Chandigarh University’s Department of Career Planning and Development (DCPD) plays a vital role in guiding students toward successful careers. Offering programs like civil services coaching, SSC CGL preparation, and Banking PO training, DCPD ensures students are equipped with the skills and confidence to excel in competitive exams and secure their dream jobs.

The university’s robust placement framework has also driven an increase in overall placements, rising from 4,690 in 2015 to 9,124 in 2023, solidifying its reputation as a leading institution for career-focused education.
