AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) has called DMK government led by MK Stalin as ‘corrupt, tyrannical and anti-people.’
On January 16, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) and Opposition leader addressed his party cadres through a letter on the birth anniversary of the party founder, MG Ramachandran (MGR).
EPS demanded that the DMK government led by MK Stalin be ousted from power and called it corrupt, anti-people and tyrannical. According to his statement, the DMK government had not implemented any welfare projects for the people and had not protected the people of the state from the natural disasters that had occurred recently. All this he said was due to how highly corrupt the government was.
The Opposition leader added, “The increases in the electricity tariff, house tax and milk price, among others, is tormenting the people.” He called his party cadres to work towards ousting the DMK from power and stated that they should stand by the people of the state. The people had been ‘abandoned by the administrators’ and the cadres must extend help to the people to ensure that their livelihoods are protected, he said.
“The day to put a full stop to the DMK government is approaching. The people of Tamil Nadu will make the AIADMK secure a massive win in the elections,” said EPS in the letter.
The AIADMK leader has repeatedly accused the DMK government of being corrupt and in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, this issue is seen to be the main message to the people of the state. Speaking to the media in December 2023, EPS said, ““Since the government took over, the only achievement in the last two-and-a-half years was corruption. Nothing else.
There is commission, corruption, and collection everywhere. This is their mantra.”
