The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at multiple locations associated with certain political figures in Haryana on August 11, 2022.
Premises linked to Surinder Panwar, a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Indian National Congress in Haryana, and Dilbag Singh, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Indian National Lok Dal, were part of the search operation.
Twenty locations across six districts in Haryana and one in Chandigarh were covered in the searches. The districts searched included Yamuna Nagar, Sonipat, Mohali, Faridabad, Chandigarh and Karnal.
According to sources, the searches were part of an ongoing investigation into alleged illegal mining activities. Further details regarding the Enforcement Directorate’s operation are awaited.
