Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, who served as the Forest Minister during Captain Amarinder Singh’s regime, had his residence in Amloh raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
It is reported that no one is being allowed inside during this operation. According to sources, not only Sadhu Singh Dharamsot’s residence but also the house of contractor Harmohinder Singh has been raided by the ED.
This raid is related to an alleged scam involving the illegal sale of trees after their felling in the Forest Department. During this operation, several documents have been seized by the ED. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time that Sadhu Singh Dharamsot’s residence has been raided by the ED.
According to reports, it is a Rs 40 crore scam in which Dharmasot was alleged to have accepted a bribe of Rs 1000 per tree. 7000 trees were felled during the Congress regime. ED has raided several places in Punjab related to this case.
