The Indonesian capital, Jakarta, experienced a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Saturday evening, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The earthquake struck at 9:59 pm local time with its epicenter located at Latitude 7.13 and Longitude 107.76, at a depth of 70 kilometers.

The NCS shared the details of the earthquake via a post on X, stating, “Magnitude: 6.2 earthquake occurred on 27-04-2024, 21:59:54 IST, with coordinates Lat: -7.13 & Long: 107.76, Depth: 70 Km, Location: 143km SE of Jakarta, Indonesia.”
