The chief of the Janata Jannayak Party (JJP) and Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, has officially announced the termination of the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana. Following his arrival in Delhi, he confirmed the dissolution of the alliance in the state. Speculation about the alliance’s breakdown had been circulating, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal, along with the entire cabinet, submitted their resignations.

JJP had been pushing for two seats from BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. With the alliance now dissolved, BJP is expected to establish a new government in Haryana by forming a fresh cabinet. Independent MLAs may participate in a lottery to secure positions in the Haryana Cabinet, and the swearing-in of new ministers is anticipated later today.

Earlier reports indicated that Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala had traveled to Delhi to meet with the high command. His discussions were expected to include a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah to address the alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prior to this, he had also met with JP Nadda in Delhi. The primary point of contention leading to the alliance’s breakdown was JJP’s demand for 1 to 2 seats from BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, a proposal that BJP was unwilling to accept, ultimately leading to the dissolution of the alliance.
