The Narcotics Squad of the South District arrested a 30-year-old drug peddler named Kuldeep on Monday. He was found in possession of 45 vials of pheniramine maleate injection, 37 single syringes, 21 sterile single-use needles, 416 grams of Ganja (wrapped in polythene), and 20 empty plastic pouches, all stored in a yellow and gray-colored bag.
The arrest took place during a patrol in the Dakshinpuri area. Police noticed a person carrying a bag in a suspicious manner and stopped him for inspection. Upon searching the bag, they discovered the drugs and associated paraphernalia.
According to the police, Kuldeep is a repeat offender with involvement in two previous criminal cases. He used to procure drugs from a supplier in Uttar Pradesh and sell them to addicts in Delhi. Additionally, Kuldeep would inject himself with pheniramine malate, an antiallergic medication sometimes abused as a recreational drug.
The police are conducting further investigations into the case, aiming to trace the source of the drugs.
