A Pakistani drone has suspected to have dropped IED, two pistols, four magazines, two batteries, a detonator, and Indian currency notes worth nearly Rs 5 lakh. According to the police, the items dropped were recovered from Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district.

Tribhuvan Khajuria, a local police officer said that they were tipped off regarding the suspicious packet carrying the weapons, following which they were rushed to the scene  and restricted the area  around 10 km from Indo-Pak border.  However no arrests have been made so far and they are digging into the matter. “A bomb disposal squad was also requisitioned and the IED was destroyed in a controlled explosion,” Khajuria said.

A blast carried out through drones had striken off Jammu Airport in which two Indian Air Force personnel were injured.  Two drones were noticed in a military area in Jammu within 24 hours of the twin drone explosions.

The recovery of drone – delivered items comes days after a Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the Border Security Forces (BSF) while the other one was apprehended along the Pakistan border in Jammu regions.  However, the person arrested was found to be suffering from a mental disorder and was repatriated to Pakistan.
