Draw held pertaining to upcoming budget session starting from February 20

In view of the forthcoming assembly budget session starting from 20 Feburary, the preparations have been completed for the same and draws for the 7 days Question Hour were held on Tuesday under the supervision of Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta in presence of MLA Varun Chaudhary from Mulana, Surendra Panwar from Sonipat, Shishpal Keharwala from Kalanwali, Legislative Assembly Secretary Rajendra Kumar Nandal and other officials of the Secretariat and during this, slips containing the names of 50 MLAs who asked starred questions were taken out. Notably , as many as 334 starred questions of these MLAs will be a part of the proceedings.

Divulging more details in this regard, assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta said that so far 51 MLAs have sent starred questions for the budget session. Out of these, 334 starred questions of 50 MLAs have been found worthy of inclusion in the proceedings. 10 MLAs have sent 10 or more questions. MLA Ramkumar Kashyap has filed a maximum of 14 starred questions whereas 21 MLAs have sent 196 unstarred questions. MLA Neeraj Sharma has sent maximum 28 unstarred questions.

Further, he said thar legislative information about 25 calling attention motions, 2 private resolutions, one private member’s bill and one no-confidence motion has been received by the legislative assembly secretariat. All preparations for the session have been completed. For this, a security related meeting, Business Advisory Committee (BAC) and Rules Committee meeting has been called on 19th February and the concerned decisions regarding session duration and business will be taken in the BAC meeting.
