CRF will be very useful for students and research scholars of all the departments and will also be helpful in enhancing the research and innovation environment in the Institute. It will promote interdisciplinary research and foster active collaboration among faculty members along with other Institutions including Industry. This facility will also be helpful in bringing funding from various funding agencies in the form of research projects as well as consultancy from industry. The high-end research equipment to be procured for the central research facility will be of multipurpose and interdisciplinary use. This equipment will help in developing and sustaining competitiveness for emerging new technologies and products. This facility will also help in producing a diverse and globally competitive technical workforce at PEC.
CRF Building has three floors. The Ground floor is allotted for the Tinkering Lab. This kind of lab will be beneficial for B.Tech. students. This lab will provide an opportunity for students to foster skills and imagination and put their technical and scientific ideas into working prototypes and products. We can also give the lab exposure to school students, which further will increase the PEC outreach activities.
