Staring from “Coffee with Professor”, “Let’s Meet the Administrator”

She has also started the grand celebration of Indian festivals by starting playing Ramleela, Diya Making, Rakhi Making and Dahi Haandi competition in the hostel. She regularly writes articles and poems for different newspapers and magazines. She is of the view that communication is the key to every problem. Hence, she frequently takes issue of daily lives and disseminate the information regarding life lessons through her blog Warden’s Diary. Her small gestures of bringing and installing swings in the hostel, planting 5 trees of the birthday has uplifted the face of hostel by providing a feeling of comfort and home away from home to the students.
Her initiative ‘Coffee with Professor’ makes a bridge between the professors and the students. The professors share their life, journey, struggles, failures and success with students to set an example and to break the ice. Through this initiative the students are motivated to pursue their dreams with passion, determination and perseverance.
Dr. Daisy Sharma firmly believes that to touch the sky, you must not leave your ground!
If you stay grounded and connected to your roots, nothing in this world can stop you from becoming the best version of yourself. With this belief she started the “Ramleela” at the hostel in which students prepare Ramleela right form costumes to stage direction. In addition to this, students also construct their own Ravan effigies, towering at heights of 15 to 20 feet, infused with creative themes of their own design.
This program connects youth with the culture and helps them to bring out their creative hue. She has also actively pursued the path of nation building amongst the students. Keeping this in mind, and inspired by Avinash Rai Khanna, former vice president of BJP, she has installed the board of Fundamental Duties at her hostel, along with Life Board of information about Annie Besant on whose name the hostel name is kept. Recently she got the Panch Pran of PM Narendra Modi inaugurated at her hostel with the cooperation of Shri Gopal Sharma MLA, Civil Lines Jaipur. She is a firm supporter of Girls education.
She has adopted 4 girl children whose entire expense of education is taken up by her. She further declares that she will scale it up with a period of time. Her unique leadership quality is that she believes in developing second line of leadership. She has decentralised decision making power in the hostel through different students Committee like Mess Committee and Cultural Committees.
This develops a sense of belongingness in the students. When all university staff went on strike, hostel students themselves cleaned the hostel and prepared the food for all. This is marvellous example of collective leadership. The society needs more personalities like her who spread the aura of positivity, hope, hard work and the sense of making this world a better place to live.
