On Monday, former Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaiswami, General Secretary of the AIADMK, opened the Kongu Multipurpose Training Institute in Harur in Dharmapuri district. This institute will provide coaching to youth for competitive examinations.

At the opening, Palaniswami slammed the DMK government stating that it was fooling the people of Tamil Nadu by not keeping any of the poll promises. He said, “Stalin promised he would scrap NEET immediately after taking charge as CM. Even recently at the DMK youth meet at Salem he said the same. The DMK government is employing smart gimmicks to fool people.”

He also added that the AIADMK government had done much more for the prosperity of the state. “The AIADMK government started 11 medical colleges and six law colleges across the state, a feat no other state or government was able to achieve. We brought 7.5 per cent reservation in NEET, we earned over 140 awards and accolades from the Union government. Also, we renovated over 14,000 PWD-controlled lakes and 27,000 lakes controlled by the panchayats under the Kudimarmathu scheme,” said Palaniswami.

TN CM MK Stalin is currently in Spain seeking out investments and business opportunities for Tamil Nadu. This has been criticized by many Opposition leaders stating that he has left the state in the crucial run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.

Planisweami stated, “In the run up to the Assembly polls, Stalin received petitions from people in a box. He (Stalin) claimed to open the box and resolve those issues soon after coming to power. It now seems the key to open the petition box is lost. If any issues remained unsolved, Stalin asked people to meet him directly.
But the ground scenario is that even MLAs and ministers are unable to meet him.”
