The District Administration of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar observed a solemn two-minute silence today at DAC, Mohali, on the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi ji, in honor of the martyrs of India’s Freedom Struggle. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj Shayamkaran Tidke, SP (H) Tushar Gupta, and Assistant Commissioners (UT) Davy Goyal, (G) Harjot Kaur Mavi, Chief Minister Field Officer Inder Pal, and DSP Harsimran Singh Ball.

ADC Viraj Tidke reflected on the significance of the day, emphasizing the sacrifices made by India’s great freedom fighters to liberate the country from British colonial rule. He stressed the perpetual debt owed to these legendary freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s freedom.

Tidke underscored the importance of commemorating the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi ji and other freedom fighters on this day, expressing profound respect for their enduring legacy. The observance served as a poignant reminder of the selfless dedication and sacrifices made by these iconic figures in securing the freedom of our nation.
