Did Ukraine-Russia war lay bare NATO’s grip over world?

European colonial powers are still controlling global economy through demonstration of their willingness to use sanctions and it seems like all international bodies designed to serve whims of their political and financial masters as all norms of human rights laws are openly being flouted in name of enmity to Russia.

The Ukraine—Russia-NATO war has exposed the NATO alliance as well as their techno-colonial grip over the rest of the world. The use of SWIFT, Financial Infrastructure, Western Currencies, Western Universities, Western Technologies and even Alliances of the West comes with a rider that those things are available as long as RoW kowtows the west. The sanctions on all those services originating in the west can debilitate all those countries who use them. There is no free trade, no UN, and no military alliance that can help negotiate better terms with the West. Seems like all those international bodies are designed to serve the whims of their political and financial masters. All norms of globally accepted human rights laws are openly being flouted in the name of enmity to Russia. People of Russian origin are increasingly seen as an enemy in their own adopted countries. Can this happen to any other country which tries to challenge the might of the West? The answer to that question need not be given. Because a precedent is being noticed and felt across the globe. The global media especially of countries like India have literally seen a copycat narrative of this western media. Indian TV debates and live coverage is itself being seen as a biased propaganda favoring the western faction of the two warring parties. What is the hope for citizens of smaller nations who depend on UN aid and other forms of aid from the western countries?

The condescending custodians of the FREE world and Democracy have performed the worst massacres through regime change wars. Check the military campaigns in Panama, Iraq, Vietnam, Libya and many other nations with no justice for all those families who were destroyed to attain the objectives of democracy. The infrastructure in those countries were destroyed beyond repair so much so that it would take them 20-30 years to get back to the levels at the time of western invasions. Has any country been able to challenge those atrocities in the International Court of Justice? No, because even those bodies are controlled financially and administratively by the west. The second class citizens of the rest of the world are given scholarships selectively to study these western models to indoctrinate them to build similar systems in their own countries which are interoperable by the west. This is neo-colonialism. The first wave of colonization was through direct occupation. The second wave of colonization is systemic dependence. Most analysts and thinkers in the ‘third’ world are actually the slaves of the western systems as long as they seek their validation from them. Where is the ‘second’ world? We know the ‘first’ world. This systemic dependence comes with the undeclared threat of military intervention on some pretext in the case of non-compliance. Those political leaders of the rest of the world who naively trust the western speeches must have received the wake-up call. The silent undercurrents of distrust are already being felt in all capitals of the third world nations now. Their sovereign independence is a debatable topic. The European colonial powers are still controlling the global economy through a credible demonstration of their willingness to use sanctions and military campaigns.

Any country that has the potential and willingness to challenge this western system is naturally an international pariah according to Western Media. When one sees the Russia-West conflict in this context then you begin to see the real picture behind the scenes. The west was very sceptical of all those nations who could challenge their hegemony. And, therefore, this war which has been in preparation since 1991 erupted in 2022. If it was not for the Chinese expansionist agenda, China would have served as a bulwark against this neo-colonialism. If Russia becomes weaker in this campaign then China will be forced to follow the western line.

However, if Russia becomes successful in attaining their military objectives then the world will see a complete dismantling of the neo-colonialism perpetrated by the western systems. While the west is completely united, Asia and Africa are completely kept divided by the western systems. South America doesn’t count in this global system because it is still a colony of Europe. Asians are themselves responsible for the division also. The Chinese expansionist agenda has actually weakened China by sowing mistrust amongst its neighbors which is easily exploited by the west to promote their own objectives. If China were to return all occupied territories including Tibet back to India, then the Indo-China alliance with an almost 2.8 billion population will become the predominant global power. Since this cannot happen because of Chinese short-sightedness, the next fall will be China’s. One sanction against China can bring down the entire Chinese state like a pack of cards.

Chinese have done an excellent job in insulating their population from the western technologies, especially social media. But that is not the case in democracies of Asia including that of India. Indian CEOs are appointed as heads of western tech firms to increase their penetration in India. Most Indians see this as their achievement but for an intelligent observer that is a very smart move to capture the market. Indian media is easily controlled by western media through awards and sometimes financial investment. The real truth is that the west doesn’t take Indian academics and politicians seriously. Anyone trying to impress them with loyalty is easily their preferred candidate. Who doesn’t like obedience? Russia, China and India are natural competition for the western neo-colonialists. All three may be the next plausible candidates for similar actions in the near future.

American policymakers must take wisdom from India to create a just, multipolar policy without any selfish interests because their history and strategy has been completely exposed in front of the global community. Most non-nato countries will be shy to keep their national reserves in NATO nations. Also, the High Net Worth Individuals will be cautious to invest in real estate in NATO countries. There are also other preventive measures that non-NATO nations may use such as Sanction Insurance (insurance to financially recover) against NATO businesses to protect their losses. The ruthlessness and swiftness with which sanctions have been used against Russia are a reminder of the old colonial days from which most colonies haven’t yet recovered. The financial dependence on western currencies and institutions is a risk that no non-NATO country can take. The constant NATO-induced wars have destroyed the economies of developing nations in one way or another. A military alternative to NATO is very much needed in today’s world to maintain the balance of power and freedom.
