In anticipation of the momentous consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, the booking for ‘aarti’ passes has commenced at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. Devotees now have the opportunity to secure passes for the three daily ‘aarti’ rituals performed for Lord Ram Lalla.
Dhruvesh Mishra, the section manager for ‘Aarti pass,’ explained that aartis are conducted thrice a day at specific times—6:30 am, 12 pm, and 7:30 pm. The morning sees Sringar aarti, followed by Bhog aarti in the afternoon, and Sandhya aarti in the evening. Only pass-holders are permitted to attend these sacred rituals.
Currently, a limited number of 30 people are allowed to attend each ‘aarti’ with a pass. However, Mishra mentioned that this number might be subject to increase based on the evolving number of devotees in the future. The restriction on the number of attendees is in place to safeguard the temple premises and for security reasons.
Addressing concerns about the accessibility of ‘aarti’ passes, Mishra clarified, “The service is the same for all devotees, whether elderly or young, poor or rich.” The passes can be obtained through an online facility, which started a few days ago. Devotees can apply for passes on the official portal of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, and after generating them online, they can collect the passes from the counter in Ayodhya before proceeding to the ‘aarti.’
Regarding the required documents for obtaining ‘aarti’ passes, Mishra specified that only four documents are admissible—an Aadhar card, voter ID, driver’s license, and passport. Devotees need to carry just one of these documents and present it to the officials after receiving their ‘aarti’ passes.
The grand consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla is scheduled for January 22, attracting attention and devotion from across the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the gathering from the ‘Singh Dwar,’ the main entrance to the temple, making it a landmark event for millions of devotees who are likely to converge on the temple town for this sacred occasion.
