he Chandigarh literary society organised the spring edition of “Literati”, a literature and art festival for the upliftment of language, literature and culture on 18 march, in Beant Singh memorial society, sector 42. Many well knows personalities from the world of literature and art took part into this festival. Various famous writers like Sankrant Sanu, Ashwath Bhatt, Neelam Mansingh, Rani Balbir Kaur, Dr. Chander Trikha, Khushwant Singh, Manmohan Singh and Priya Hajela took part into this festival as orators and presented their views on various topics. The chairperson of Chandigarh literary society, Dr. Sumita Mishra said that the goal of Literati is to hilight the diverse aspects of our language, literature and art to propogate them between young generation. We should be proud of our history, culture and traditions. In forthcoming days, our country will be known for this. Also in future this art festival will be organised in a more magnificent manner.
The festival started with a speech by the famous writer Sankrant Sanu. He is the writer of “The English medium myth : dismantling barrier to India’s growth”.
