In a heartfelt display of compassion and dedication to serving devotees from across the world, Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur and senior BJP leader Vineet Joshi have once again extended a helping hand by sending more groceries (food and other items for langar), worth lakhs of rupees, from Chandigarh, to conduct a langar (Sikh community kitchen) at Ayodhya.

Baba Harjit Singh is the eighth descendant from the family of Nihang Baba Fakir Singh, who along with 25 Nihang Sikhs had captured the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya and had performed havan in it in November 1858.

Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Khalsa’s devotion towards Lord Ram and to serve devotees coming from across the world, Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur had set up langar for the devotees coming from across the world at Shri Char Dham Mandir in Ayodhya’s Pramodvan area, from January 14 till date. It is expected to have sent more than Rs 50 Lakh of groceries and other food items to the Shri Ayodhya by the Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur.

While sending the grocery trucks to Ayodhya from Chandigarh’s grain market in sector 26, Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur said, “To ensure that langar is served to devotees round the clock, we have once again sent groceries to Ayodhya. As a servant of humanity, I must ensure that no one goes hungry, especially during times of devotion and celebration. The langar, started by our Sikh Gurus, is a symbol of equality and brotherhood, and we must continue to uphold its values.”

While speaking on the occasion, senior BJP leader Vineet Joshi said, “The langar service, started on January 14, is still serving the devotees who are reaching Ayodhya to pay obeisance to Lord Ram. Rasulpur is not only representing his ancestors but is representing entire Punjab and Punjabiyat. Some people have forgotten their roots, those who are connected do not fall prey to any narrative. Sanatan is meant Seva, and Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur is forwarding his legacy’’.
