Dera Follower Pradeep Singh’s killing unmasked terrorist organisations’ strategy to enroll teenagers to indulge in crime. As per official reports, two out of three persons arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on Friday, two turned out to be 14 years old boys from Haryana. This has come to light in the killing of Pradeep Singh, an accused in a sacrilege incident and a follower of the controversial Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa. Within a week after the murder of Hindu Leader Sudhir Suri, Dera follower Pradeep Singh was shot down early morning when he was going to open his shop along with
his gunman.
“This is shocking for us. These boys seem to be earning some easy money, and are just trigger-happy juveniles and have no iota of idea what they have done, and also there was no motive behind the killing,” said the official.
“One of them was also involved in a recent murder. After interrogating them, they said that there is no big deal in using a handgun. ‘You just have to press the trigger”. The police believe the two belonged to a module of another teenage shooter 19 year old Ankit Sersa who, along with five others, had gunned down singer Sidhu Moosewala earlier this year.
These two juveniles of fan followers of Ankit Sersa and said that Ankit Sersa influenced them.
On the involvement of gangster Goldy Brar in the incident, Delhi Police officials, said, “Goldy had drawn flak for killing Moosewala from the hardliners. Moosewala was a Sikh icon. His killing has not gone well with pro-Khalistan groups. Goldy is facing trouble in hiding in Canada and is looking for support to seek political asylum in Canada or any other country. For this, he needs the support of the hardliners.”
When asked about teenagers’ involvement in the killing, Political Analyst Ramnik Mann said, “In every country, there is a system in place for child labour and so as for the juveniles. Parents, Guardians, Police and society have to come together to watch out our kids for not to fell prey to these gangsters. And Juvenile Act shall not be a tool for Gangsters to escape and use teenagers for this, as there is no hard punishment for teenagers in Juvenile Act. This matter shall be put in the ambit of hardcore investigation and further should be brought to book”.
Sunil Jakhar Tweeted on this matter and said Senior BJP Leader Sunil Jakhar showed his concern on Twitter , “Alarming! Growing number of teens are turning into guns-for-hire as reflected by the arrest of minors in recent Kotkapura & Moosewala murder cases. Whatever’s the reason-unemployment/easy money/glorification of gangsters-it should be cause of serious concern for Govt & the society.”
The EX DGP of Punjab, ShashiKant shared his views, “Reported arrest of some minors in the recent murder of Pradeep Premi in kotkapura, Punjab, shows a new twist to the strategy of terrorists and gangsters. Now they are now employing minors for murders etc. Maybe in times to come they may start using minors in their other serious nefarious activities. It may be only because minors are generally protected under Juvenile Delinquency Provisions, entailing special
protection.”
