Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala flagged off 40 firefighting bikes from seven districts at the Public Works Department rest house in Panchkula on Monday. The remaining 60 bikes will also be handed over to the remaining districts soon, provided by Hero Motor Corporation under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

During the event, the Deputy Chief Minister met with the Director General of Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. Yashpal Singh, who provided detailed information about the department’s work and challenges. Dushyant Chautala engaged in discussions with fire officials from Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Jind, and Head Quarter to address firefighting and emergency situations. He sought suggestions to improve the system and assured officials of fulfilling their demands soon.

The Deputy CM instructed fire and emergency services officials to diligently address issues in their respective areas and maintain fire systems according to department standards. Officers were directed to inspect fire systems in educational institutions, universities, colleges, patrols, industries, and marriage banquet halls across districts. If any organization’s fire system is found damaged, they should be given a 30-day notice to repair it.

Dushyant Chautala emphasized checking fire systems in big and small industrial units across all districts. In cases where systems are faulty, fire officers were instructed to inspect and ensure repairs within 30 days. Failure to comply would result in appropriate action.

Furthermore, the Deputy CM instructed the Director General of Fire and Emergency Services to estimate the repair costs for dilapidated department buildings. He also directed the purchase of 25 red Boleros for all districts to ensure a timely response by fire brigade personnel and prevent untoward incidents. Present at the occasion were Director General Dr. Yashpal Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khangwal, Technical Deputy Director Gulshan Kalra, Hero CSR Senior Manager Rakesh Patel, and other dignitaries.
