Delhi: Six Injured in Domestic Gas Cylinder Explosion in Narela

Six individuals, including three women, sustained injuries in a domestic gas cylinder explosion that occurred in the Narela area of Delhi on Friday morning, according to police reports.

The incident took place around 7:00 AM at a residence near Laxmi Narayan Mandir on Bawana Road. Following the explosion, a PCR call was made to the Narela police station, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered that the first floor of a house (KH 12/18) near Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Swatantra Nagar had suffered significant damage, with several walls destroyed due to the blast.

The injured individuals have been identified as Vijay (28), Bobby (23), Neelam (25), Pooja (30), Aruna (35), and a teenager. They were initially transported to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Narela for treatment. Subsequently, Vijay, Bobby, Neelam, and Pooja were transferred to LNJP Hospital for further medical care.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder leak. A crime team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team have been dispatched to the site to conduct a thorough investigation and confirm the cause of the blast.

A case has been registered at the Narela police station, and further inquiries are ongoing, officials stated.
