Centre orchestrating a 5G spectrum scam: AAP MP Sanjay Singh

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led central government of orchestrating a 5G spectrum scam to benefit its capitalist associates. Singh highlighted the BJP’s shift in stance regarding spectrum allocation policies, emphasizing the party’s previous opposition to the “first come, first served” policy for 2G spectrum allocation.

Speaking at a press confrence, Singh alleged the significance of a 2012 Supreme Court ruling, which rejected the “first come, first served” policy and mandated spectrum allocation through an auction process. He condemned the Modi government’s decision to revert to the administrative allocation process, which it had previously criticized, alleging a disregard for the Supreme Court’s directives.

Accusing the BJP of hypocrisy, Singh pointed out the government’s suspension of 150 MPs during the passage of the spectrum allocation policy. He criticized the government’s subsequent appeal to the Supreme Court to reinstate the administrative allocation process, suggesting ulterior motives to benefit certain individuals.

Singh went further to allege a pattern of corruption within the BJP, citing instances such as the issuance of electoral bonds and the exoneration of individuals implicated in financial scandals. He accused the Prime Minister of shielding corrupt individuals while professing to combat corruption, labeling the 5G spectrum scandal as potentially the largest in India’s history.
