AAP-BJP Clash in Delhi Over President’s Rule Proposal

A fresh wave of political uncertainty has engulfed Delhi after President Droupadi Murmu forwarded a memorandum from BJP MLAs to the Ministry of Home Affairs, calling for the dismissal of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. In a fierce response, AAP has accused the BJP of using underhanded tactics to unseat the democratically elected government. Public Works Department Minister Atishi Singh sharply criticised the BJP, alleging a conspiracy to avoid defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections.

AAP’s Challenge: “Impose President’s Rule, Lose All Seats”
Atishi challenged the BJP-led central government, daring them to impose President’s Rule. “The people of Delhi will respond decisively. The BJP currently holds eight seats; if President’s Rule is imposed, they will end up with zero,” she asserted. She further accused the BJP of attempting to destabilise governments through undemocratic means.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Achievements Rally Public Support
Highlighting Arvind Kejriwal’s achievements in governance, such as free electricity, quality education, healthcare at Mohalla clinics, and pilgrimage benefits for seniors, Atishi emphasised that any attempt to overthrow the AAP government would be met with strong resistance from Delhi voters. She predicted a complete rout of the BJP in the next elections.
