The police said on Monday that a man was fatally stabbed in the Anand Parbat neighborhood of Delhi.
The deceased, known as Pappu, was a Shastri Nagar inhabitant and a Basti, Uttar Pradesh, native.
According to the police, he was a toilet keeper for the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB).
“Today, information was received at about 6:00 a.m. that at Holi Chowk, Punjabi Basti, Baljeet Nagar, Anand Parbat area, one person, named Pappu, resident of Shastri Nagar Delhi, Permanent Resident of Basti (Uttar Pradesh), Age 40-45 yrs stabbed to death. The deceased was the caretaker of the DUSIB Toilet Complex. Police teams are on the spot. FSL and the Crime team have been called for inspection of the scene of the crime and to preserve evidence”, the police said.
Meanwhile, the police are scanning the CCTV cameras in the neighbourhood.
A probe is underway. Further details are awaited.
