On Wednesday, Delhi’s chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal announced that Delhi will host its first-ever and India’s biggest shopping festival from January 28 to February 26 in 2023.
The festival will have guests from the country and abroad to witness and experience this event. The festival will have 200 concerts for entertainment and food walks, with international and national restaurants participating. At the same time, huge discounts on products will be offered to the customers.
“Those who are not in Delhi should block the dates and book their tickets to attend the shopping festival. For 30 days during the festival, Delhi will be decked up like a bride. All major markets and malls will be decorated. It will offer an unparalleled shopping experience to people,” Kejriwal said, addressing a digital press briefing.
The festival will have exhibitions on spirituality, gaming, wellness and technology. Furthermore, Kejriwal added that the government is in talks with hotels and airlines to provide special packages to the people who want to visit Delhi.
The 30-day long festival will also have opening and closing ceremonies. In March, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia proposed this ambitious project in the Rozgaar Budget 2022-2023.
