This year, Holi falls on March 25.

Before the festival, there is a customary ritual known as Holika Dahan, symbolizing the burning of the demon Holika.

During the festivities, traditional sweets are exchanged, promoting camaraderie and unity among individuals, while participants radiate happiness and affection. Some of the nation’s ancient and renowned pilgrimage destinations like Vrindavan, Mathura, and Barsana attract revelers who immerse themselves in colors on this occasion.

The festival is dedicated Lord Krishna, who is said to have spent significant time in a region known as Braj in Uttar Pradesh. It not only embodies the essence of Holi but also symbolizes the eternal love between Radha and Krishna.
