As the national capital gears up to celebrate New Year 2024, the personnel of Delhi Fire Services are on high alert, ready to respond to any emergency or fire incident. Fire engines will be strategically deployed to 13 prominent spots, including Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar, where large gatherings are expected, according to an official statement.
Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Services, stated, “We have identified 13 prominent spots where a large number of people will be present to celebrate New Year in Delhi.” He added, “Fire engines will be stationed there to respond quickly in case of any emergency or fire incident. Sufficient staff have been deployed, and all arrangements have been made.”
Simultaneously, Delhi Police conducted vehicle checks in various parts of the city on Saturday night, heightening security in the national capital and increasing deployments in border areas for New Year’s celebrations. Significant checks took place in areas like Connaught Place and Aurobindo Marg, major marketplaces that are focal points for New Year festivities.
