In a significant development in Delhi’s excise policy case, the city’s Rouse Avenue court has extended AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody.
In addition, the court has also extended judicial custody of BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samiti) K Kavitha until July 31.
For the hearing, both Manish Sisodia & K Kavitha were presented before the court via video conferencing from Tihar Jail.
Later, the court scheduled the matter for further hearing for July 31st, 2024.

Earlier on Thursday, the Delhi Court prolonged Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody in an alleged liquor policy scam.
The Special Judge Kaveri Baweja prolonged Kejriwal’s custody respectively in money laundering and corruption case. These matters are separately investigated and registered by enforcement directorate & CBI.
For the money laundering case investigated by ED, the custody has been extended till July 31. While for the registered corruption case, it is extended till August 8.
However, the supreme court has already given interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal in ED case. But currently, he is still in Tihar jail, as he has not provided the bail bond in this matter.
Moreover, he is also under judicial custody regarding the CBI case.
