In Delhi, a mammoth ‘Ravan Dahan’ ceremony was performed at IP Extension, which was witnessed by Chief Minister Atishi. “It was the last day of Dussehra so it symbolised victory of good over evil,” said Rajshri Dhanbhakt, an organiser.
The function gained extensive audience, where families and children enthusiastically participated in the celebrations. Chief Minister Atishi highlighted the cultural importance of Dussehra, stating, “It is a festival that reminds us to stand by righteousness and the triumph of good over evil.” She said she was happy to see the whole community coming together to celebrate this age-old tradition.

As a thunderous roar stood testament to the jubilation of the crowd when the dummy was set on fire, it was a good indication that people were rejoicing. Fireworks lit the night sky and added to the festivity. Locals chimed in with excitement over the event, pointing out the importance of the function in promoting unity and culture.
Atishi, in her speech, asserted that much had been done in terms of the conservations and glorifications that characterise the capital’s cultures. This was clearly underlined by the ‘Ravan Dahan’ at IP Extension. The importance of festivals and the emergence of some sort of a community feeling among the residents were some of such reminders.
This vibrant celebration tied everyone together, reinforcing the concepts of courage and hope that Dussehra stands for, and gave memories to the participants. The event ended in a happy, unitary feeling as Dussehra came to a prosperous end in Delhi.
