Amid heavy rains and water logging in the capital, politics has started boiling on this issue. Delhi state BJP President Adesh Gupta targeted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on the issue of waterlogging on the roads.
While cornering the AAP government, Adesh Gupta said, “Arvind Kejriwal’s government is busy looting the public and has no time for people’s problems. A yellow alert has been issued due to heavy rain, and in Delhi, people are stuck in traffic for hours due to waterlogging on the roads. A government steeped in corruption is adept at showing work only on paper, whereas the reality is always exposed as soon as the problem arises,” he charged.
Shri Adesh Gupta pointed out that there is a difference between the words and deeds of the Kejriwal government by alleging that whenever it rains in Delhi, Kejriwal›s claim of clean drains gets exposed. “This has been going on for the last eight years. Cars are seen crawling on the roads of Delhi,” Gupta said.
He further added that “after today›s rain in many areas; people were seen stuck in traffic jams at important intersections of several routes for hours.”
The areas most impacted by the heavy rains and traffic jams are Pragati Maidan, Rajouri Garden, including Main Highway, West Punjabi Bagh, Najafgarh, Vijwasan, Kapashera, Ashok Nagar, Dwarka, Jangpura, Nehru Nagar, Anand Vihar, Vishwas Nagar, and CR Park.
