The Delhi government has granted a license to the Delhi Consumer’s Cooperative Wholesale Store Limited (DCCWS) to open a retail liquor store in the arrival area of Terminal-3 at IGI Airport.

This marks the first L-10 liquor store of its kind at Indira Gandhi International Airport by a Delhi government agency under the current excise regime.

The new store will operate 24/7, offering a self-service and walk-in experience, enabling customers to select their preferred liquor brands freely.

Currently, only duty-free liquor stores operate in the arrival and departure areas of Terminal-3 at Delhi Airport, serving international travelers. There are no liquor stores at any of the three terminals for domestic travelers and airport staff, officials noted.

The new store will display a comparative rate chart of various liquors available elsewhere in the country on LED screens for customer convenience. Additionally, payment options including UPI, credit cards, and debit cards will be available at the store.

“The strategic location of the L-10 Liquor store at Terminal-3 will not only cater to a large unserved area around the Haryana- Delhi border but also help in curbing the illegal supply of non-duty paid liquor from the neighbouring states,” official stated.
