Police said on Thursday that a 20-year-old guy in Delhi’s Paharganj neighbourhood was allegedly fatally stabbed after an argument. Mahir aka Imran, a 20-year-old resident of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been identified as the victim.
Authorities in Paharganj said that the deceased was employed at a flex board store.
Mahir was stabbed many times in the abdomen, the sleuths had further revealed.
In Gali No. 11, within the boundaries of the Gokalpuri police station, the event happened close to Lakhan Chowk, according to the police.
The body was discovered on the road close to Lakhan Chowk, according to the police, who stated that they were contacted about the stabbing incident at around nine o’clock on December 27. According to the officials, a blood-stained knife was also found next to the body.
The police claim that their preliminary investigation indicates that Mahir, the deceased, got into a fight with someone by the name of Faizal and his friends. The detectives said, “The fight turned violent as Mahir was fatally stabbed.”
In addition to searching the scene for samples, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also looking through the local CCTV cameras. After the event, police revealed that Faizal, the main accused, is reportedly running away. The victim’s body was taken into the care of the police and taken to the mortuary of GTB hospital for post-mortem.
Further investigation is underway.
